Your grandson doesn't know it yet, but he is a car guy. Just look at that "this is cool" smile on his face.

Yes, he is well on his way and definitely a BMW guy.
Between both sets of grandparents he's got five BMW’S to play in.He already claimed my 330i as his.

Has a collection of cars and trucks of all sizes, makes and models. He's four and can name just about every make, still struggles with models though.

Way to grow the next generation! I did the same with my oldest grandson.

1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider

1.3 liter DOHC engine, drum brakes

In 1962, I believe that the 1.3 liter Giulietta was succeeded by the very similar-bodied Giulia with 1.6 liter engine and disc brakes.

EDIT: I was mistaken, the 1.6 liter Giulia used drum brakes as well; Alfa was a bit slow in adopting discs. Here's a red '63 Giulia.

The SP-250 had a fiberglass body and the chassis had an unfortunate tendency to sag over time. At introduction, the list price was US$3,900. A bit of an ugly duckling, in my opinion.

Daimler was sold by owner BSA to Jaguar in 1960.
The engine is really quite something in and of itself. 90-degree V8, hemispherical combustion chambers, alloy heads.

Here's one with Webers.

In the late 1960s and 1970s, I lusted after the Alfa Romeo coupes something fierce. It's probably fortunate that I never got the finances together to buy one; I wouldn't have had much left over to properly maintain or repair it. But what a car!

Instead, I owned motorcycles and then in 1974 bought a '72 Capri.
