The tactics of teammates creating gaps etc for others to pit indeed doesn't make for exciting racing.
That said a red flag and then some kind of parade also doesn't make for much of a race.

It’s no longer drivers racing, instead it’s checkers on the pit wall. This race would be more interesting if the pit wall radio was on the entire race to hear the strategies because the driving is a snooze fest.

Are there any additional penalties other than being DQ if you don’t perform the mandatory pit stops? At this rate, unless something catastrophic happens to alter the race, I dont see any reason for SAI, RUS and ANT to pit - just cruise for the remainder of the race - they’re out of the points anyway.

This is such a dumb race. I would rather have a race last year and roll the dice for a safety car or red flag to happen and see if teams can race a one stopper than this intentional team game nonsense where everyone trying to bend rules or intentionally break rules and take penalties because everyone is so backed up.

I wonder if Max will pit in the last 1-2 laps or just gonna skip the 2nd mandatory pitstop and take the 30s penalty.
In both scenario's, he'll finish 4th
Obviously he's hoping for a red flag or so, but that's probably very unlikely this late in the race.

But Lando deserved to win. Yesterday he was fastest

Tough weekend for Mercedes - but like we say, the race is won/loss during qualifying for Monaco. As a F1 driver, I could see how anyone would be frustrated having to drive behind an intentionally slow driver but there’s no rules against doing that.

Back to the drawing board for the Monaco GP. Mandatory pit stops is not the answer unless you find a way to penalize or enforce drivers holding up other drivers. Seeing cars 2 laps behind is plain nonsense.
