I'm curious as to what others think about this...

What venue do you think has the most consolidated wealth? It just amazes me the amount of wealth floating around these events.

-The Oscars

-The Grammys

-The State of the Union Address

Makes you wonder... can anything top a Bill Gates and Warren Buffet candle-lit dinner date for two?

Probably not. The thing most people don't think about is how much money those actors ACTUALLY have. Yes they portray a image of vast wealth, but with their $14M houses, 10 car garages, fancy vacations, etc. how much money do they actually have in the bank?

Both Bill and Warren, individually, could absolutely embarrass all those actors and they would still have 10's of billions left over.

Yes. But Bill and Warren actually do/did something. Did you see Chris Rock's presentation last night?

show me a poor one...consider that a US rep salary is $194,000 and that they have to run every 2 years (essentially always campaining)...and have to raise serious money....Boehner has 12 million on hand..the average rep has serveral hundred thousand (check out opensecrets.org)

I would not get out of bed for $200,000....let alone go around begging for more money...yet the "best and the brightest" are lining up for these jobs...that's because one of the "poorest members of congress" the Honorable Stupak http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/CIDsummary.php?CID=N00004196&year=2010 can have a negative net worth and still have a millipon dollar mortgage...and an annual salary of $194,000...what gives...

Follow the money...
