Like other posts in this thread, the car just didn't fit our lives anymore. With 45000km on it I got $32k CAD on trade. I could have got more but it was late in the season and it was a repaint, although a really good $7k BMW repaint. Never saw snow, rarely saw rain, new S03s on it to. It really was perfect with the matching red and black interior and red cloth top. It never made it to the lot, sold in two days.

MIKEYMIKE wroteWhy do you think it is a downgrade? Is everyone basing the worthiness of a car soley by the horsepower and engine? I guess if that is the case, then yes, it was a downgrade. However, a car is much more than just an engine, 0-60, and 1/4 mile times. Changing cars had nothing to do with reliability and nothing to do with finances. Was just different needs/wants. The S4 is a great car and I do miss it but I'd still do it again if I had the choice.Blue Streak.........
Seriously though...Why did you downgrade? The legendary Audi reliability, or financial reasons?

'99 328i Jet Black, sport, premium, heated seats, Dinan SW/CAI...
I was having issues with it and the lease I got on the e90 was $50 month cheaper than my payment on the seven year old e46. How could I say no?
I do miss the seats every time I drive my car though.

I don't care for Audi's in the least bit and I wouldn't ever get one. But the truth is when you go from a car that costs more, has more power, etc... to a car that costs less, slower, etc....
That's considered a downgrade, I don't think any other word describes it better.
I am not saying it was a stupid move or anything like that, everyone has different needs and wants in the car they drive.

I haven't decided whether to sell my '98 Toyota Camry LE w/128K miles or my 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport with 15K miles (not a misprint). I may sell both of them and get another 330xi for the wife.

This is may be unbelievable, but I jumped from a 1990 Buick Riviera to the '06 325i. The Riviera was lost to Hurricane Katrina (the only thing I was happy the hurricane destroyed) and I decided to buy the car I have been wanting since I was 12.

E30M3Driver wroteReally? My wife has a Touareg and we both agree that it's the best car we've ever owned (BMW, Porsche, Audi) until I got the 530. She's starting to think the 530 is better, but still prefers the AWD and higher riding position.2004 VW Touareg V8-Best and worst car I have ever owned!
The Touareg has performed awesomely in all areas for us (except tire wear). When will Porsche and VW admit 15K isn't enough life for a set of tires on a TReg/Cayenne.
Can anyone else comment on a TReg/Cayenne experience?
