^^ You took all the depth and dimension out that photo. Now it just looks flat.

Post-processing is a personal taste thing, I get that, and if you like then that's great.
Some photos need it, but not all.

Completely agreed about your second comment. The original shot was excellent as it was. It was shot and PP'd to look quite literal (meaning it ended up looking very similar to the way it was when originally shot- perhaps with some enhanced saturation, clarity and darkened blacks). And that's a good thing. I tend to shoot and finish my shots that exact way. But sometimes with a darker composition, as we have with this shot - muting the blacks can take it from a literal feel to more of an artistic feel. As you said, it's all personal preference.

Yes, used a blend of lowering contrast and lightening up the darks.

Btw- I checked out your Instagram account and you have some fantastic photos! I really enjoyed the motion shots from the track. I just started following you
