Looks pretty nice. I like it.
Hood could have used a bit more work, but its ok.
I really like the side and the booty.
Thoughts?
Germanauto wroteLoved the looks of the CC but its drivetrain left a lot to be desired.....hope this one is betterReplacement of the CC? Where does this fit in the lineup?

fbsm wroteSpot on. I had a CC R-Line and it got really old really quickly. It's a great looking car, much like this Arteon, but the powertrains/drivetrains were boring.Loved the looks of the CC but its drivetrain left a lot to be desired.....hope this one is better
KingOfJericho wroteI'm sure it'll come with the 2.0T and DSG so it should be pretty good this time around.Spot on. I had a CC R-Line and it got really old really quickly. It's a great looking car, much like this Arteon, but the powertrains/drivetrains were boring.
KingOfJericho wrotesame here, I had a CC R-Line for a year it was great car, new model looks as goodSpot on. I had a CC R-Line and it got really old really quickly. It's a great looking car, much like this Arteon, but the powertrains/drivetrains were boring.
muddtt wroteThat's what it currently has. DSG is shit and nobody can change my mind.I'm sure it'll come with the 2.0T and DSG so it should be pretty good this time around.
KingOfJericho wroteIf you had to compare the current CC with say E9X 328i and 335i, how would it stack up in regards to comfort, quality, performance, and just feeling good driving it?That's what it currently has. DSG is shit and nobody can change my mind.
PandaM3 wroteI hate to break it to you but KBB for my pristine 2014 R-Line with only 17k miles is around $13,000. That's a 63% hit in a little over two years. With 84k and a zillion mods... just keep it.I'm really liking this too. In addition to my M3 we also have a modded VW CC that my wife drives and I occasionally drive.
The top model of the new Arteon drops the Vr6 for the 276hp turbo 4 from the Golf R20/ Audi S3 + the 4 motion awd/ quattro from those cars. However it has a 7spd DSG instead of the 6spd. So essentially a more stylish version of the R20 in a 5 door hatch/ coupe body.
Furthermore I bet all the mods from the R20/ S3 will fit this so APR software + Downpipe should easily be good for 355 at the crank.
That being said it is very tempting to sell our current CC and get this.
However:
- our CC is paid off... It's nice not having monthly car payments to worry about
- I'm addicting to modding cars so our CC has the original turbo replaced by the K04 from that is found in the R20 plus supporting mods so its about 355 at the crank, R line body kit, Stoptech Trophy BBK, M factory LSD, Bilstein mono tube shocks all around (can't lower it since the wife drives it) so there is alot invested into it.
- at 84,000 trouble free miles with it being modded since 15,000 miles it's been trouble free
- I've done all the preventative things to it already as well (timing chain tensioner, upgraded rear main seal, Audi R8 red top coilpacks)
So will see how tempting this will be... will likely wait till they have the plug in GTE version
KingOfJericho wroteOh I know... that's why I'm keeping it... just keep putting miles on it and run it to the ground, but it seems to be doing a excellent job looking and driving like it was new.I hate to break it to you but KBB for my pristine 2014 R-Line with only 17k miles is around $13,000. TodmordenLad wroteIt's an update of a car that already exists. If this is supposed to be a rival for the 4 series GC, I cant see BMW getting too worried.. No RWD and no 6 cyl engines.. And the 4GC is better looking...
KingOfJericho wroteSure, I appreciate that. It's just that the UKs motoring press has headlined the Arteon as VWs rival to the BMW 4GC - which it clearly isn't going to be in reality, IMOTodmordenLad wroteIt's an update of a car that already exists. If this is supposed to be a rival for the 4 series GC, I cant see BMW getting too worried..
