Georgia or NC IMO. Georgia has amazing property values and low taxes. Charlotte is pretty much a baby Atlanta. I would say that Atlanta is more diverse though as NC passes all those crazy laws.

You can get a sweet 3500+sq ft house in a nice neighborhood for $300-500k in the Atlanta Metro Area.

You got it right on the money. We had a few days of -20 degree F with wind chills here...of course, it doesn't last long. Snow was minimal this year.

In some parts of TX winters can be brutal af.

Plus, us machinists don't know how to handle beautiful weather and life, used working so much and not being able to enjoy either.

you have right I'm working many hours sometimes 7 days a week, but it's just for now. I'm looking for something better

Definitely I will pick one of the states without an income tax. Always better to keep some extra money in a pocket than giving for state. I know state need to take money from my other way, but at least I can control this more than just watch how money goes out of my check IMO. I'm considering between Texas, Florida & Nevada. What state is the best in you guys opinion ?
California is beautiful, but not for my pocket to handle it. NJ is very expensive to live in and California is even worst, so I gave up with that state.
I heard many good opinions about TX.

Texas. I have considered moving to both FL and NV, too, as they are both places I've been and are attractive to me for many reasons. I just can't do it. I love it here. It's 77 degrees outside. Low tonight will be 64 degrees. I will be cruising home with the top down as I have almost everyday since I bought this car in October.
