Yeah, wonder if he was under the influence or if it was just an animal or something.

That's why you don't veer for deer. Hope he recovers.

Tiger Woods...Who the F**K cares? Wife cheater, DUI offender and a host of other criminal issues.

So the guy can put a ball in a cup and we are supposed to put a halo on his head?

i dont think anyone here was putting a halo. he has done some pretty negative things but there is a big area between black and white and a lot of us have done things in the gray area.

i dont care for golf but i like to think i wish well for everyone, so i hope he does recover.

Details forthcoming obviously. Serious enough for Tiger to be extracted from the vehicle via the jaws of life. Although, one does wonder was he over confident in the handling ability of the GV80? The following comment from Motor-trend is interesting.
Quote:
There's no feel, and thanks to the very quiet luxe-oriented tires, no grip," Seabaugh said. "On a curvy road, the driver is working overtime just to keep the GV80 centered in the lane. I'm not asking for a sporty drive experience because Genesis, like Lincoln, has eschewed that as a brand value. But the GV80 should nevertheless give you confidence as you drive down a narrow, twisty road."
I guess we’ll see how the Hyundai/Genesis PR team tries to clean this up. Nice as the GV80 is aesthetically, according to the handling specs it’s obviously no X5 or Bentayga (<obvious inspiration) for that matter.

I've heard what they're saying about the accident but it looks like they simply ripped out the windshield and pulled him out that way. No A-pillar destruction typical when using JoL (Hurst®).

I'm waiting for cell-phone records to be investigated.

Respectfully, why is this at all an issue for Genesis PR? Do we even know if he was sober? Anything can happen to anyone driving anything.

New vehicle, handling as quoted by Motortrend and others as being questionable, high profile celebrity driver, etc.. The GV80 was just recently released, literally not a good look. The numerous photos of the thing wrecked, has the potential to create a a certain stigma with those who may be considering purchasing the GV80.

Also there is a correction: as noted above by BMWCCA1 "jaws of life" were not used..

Don't want to pre-judge too much, but I'm just guessing that stupidity was involved.

Hope he makes a full recovery. I doubt the accident had anything to do with the handling of the GV80.

this is so far fetched, it's almost tinfoil hat worthy.

Sad to hear.... hope he'll be ok... unfortunately his past doesn't have the best record in this instance... He was in a Genesis GV80 which is a safe car so it could have been worse.
