Heck, I said Stroll will win WDC KBD would probably say I am wild for saying that..

I'd say the Beeb are so far below a cereal packet that you can't even see them.

OK, "today's newspaper wraps tomorrow's fish 'n chips".

However, BBC Sport states that it ran a check. I guess that's more than just a call to the sister of the friend of the neighbour of the cleaning lady of the fuel station where Jos Verstappen usually gets gas:

In the lengthy High Performance interview, interviewers didn't ask Newey: "care to enlighten us about the experience of getting to Q3 with Amanda ?", "cereals: do you also like a bowl of cocoa pops ?" and "Aston Martin's deep pockets: every man has his price, no ?"

He's already a 8* time WDC, nothing more needs to be proven or said. You said Ham would get destroyed by Lec, and so far Ham is the only one with a Pole and win.

How can a washed up overrated old slow drive come in and beat the claimed 2nd fastest driver in F1 on his own team?

Indeed I also think that BBC article is highly suggestive.
Their only link is 'high-level sources close to Red Bull and Newey'. That could be anyone, even people from not within the RB organisation...

I think Erik van Haren's remark/analysis that Newey thanked Horner as a business partner and friend in his departure declaration but not mentioned Helmut Marko might shed a different light on the situation. Perculiar it is nontheless.
Also letting a deal or business agreement where tens of millions, if not hundeds of millions are involved in depend on some alledged relationship between a secretary and a boss... I don't know...

That said, it doesn't matter anymore. Newey is now running part of AMR (development) basically

Adrian Newey's wife didn't appreciate how Horner talked smack about her husband.

She also commented "absolute bollocks".

Yeah, nice atmosphere down there at Red Bull Racing.

"Christian Horner claims labelled ‘hogwash’ by Adrian Newey’s wife
Sam Cooper - 05 Jan 2024 4:19 PM
https://www.planetf1.com/news/christ...n-newey-amanda

Adrian Newey’s wife Amanda has hit out at claims the RB19 was designed by Peter Wache and not her husband.
The origin of the report stems from quotes given by Red Bull boss Christian Horner to Motorsport.com claiming the team was not as reliant on Newey as it once was.
Amanda Newey has however described that claim as “hogwash” and another as “absolute bollocks.”

Amanda Newey hits out at Christian Horner suggestion
Amanda Newey took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her displeasure, commenting under three posts made by three separate outlets.
Twice she wrote “what a load of hogwash”, having previously described the suggestion from a user that the RB19 was not an Adrian Newey championship-winning car as “absolute bollocks.”
The original interview was given by Horner to Motorsport.com in which he claimed technical director Wache was leading the team.
“Adrian is a big part of this team and big part of what we’ve achieved,” Horner said. “But of course, his role has evolved over the last few years and the technical team beneath him led by Pierre Wache, they’re doing a wonderful job and so that they’re not reliant on Adrian.
“He has the ability to come in, come out and work on other projects and I think that’s part of the evolution of any team.”
Separate quotes by Wache were also rubbished by Amanda Newey.
“He’s irreplaceable, yes – you cannot replace him!” Wache said.
“On a daily basis, he’s not part of our process. He’s more coming from the sideways and trying to help us or challenge us on different aspects.”

Red Bull RB17: The £5million hypercar with huge Adrian Newey influence
Horner’s suggestion was not a new one with the Red Bull stating when the team’s dynamic changed.
“It’s the perfect scenario, really, where we’ve built a machine that isn’t dependent on one individual but which enables Adrian to feed in and out, to mentor, to challenge ideas and so on,” Horner told the Telegraph.
“I suppose it’s evolved over the last four or five years as Adrian has become involved in other projects. He can’t be everywhere.
“Back in 2013, he was drawing a large percentage of the aerodynamic surfaces of the car and sort of engineering at weekends and so on.
“But in a cost cap world, especially with where the regulations have gone, Adrian is able to do less anyway on the drawing board. Obviously, he’s still crucial at the concept stage.
“But, as he’s taken on a broader role, the rest of the group has had to evolve and develop. Particularly after Adrian’s [cycling] accident in 2021, the guys really had to step up with the design of RB18.
“Pierre did a great job in doing that. On a day-to-day basis, that is Pierre’s responsibility now, his accountability. The relationship between the two of them is strong. Honestly, I think it’s the strongest engineering team we’ve ever had.”

I'll take you up on this, but not at these silly odds. MGM has him at +2000. If you're serious and would like to match that, PM me with proof of funds and we'll coordinate.

So you and Amuro are sure able to run your mouths about WDC predictions and certainty but when called out you resort to facetious statements and a no, and now you want me as an individual to put up MGM odds (which is there for good reason). My deal is 20K for your 10k. Money goes to an escrow account and winner takes all - simply if ham doesnt win you lose. That's the proposal, take it or leave it.

Edit:
I'll take the MGM odds as long as you're willing to pay out the reciprocating +2000 when he loses. Pari mutuel odds.

He's not an 8 time WDC - it's 7 and those were the easiest in history to win (difficulty level 25 out of 100). You lose credibility when you make patently false statements like that.

Sprint race stats don't count for anything so pole and 'win' that he used an illegal setup for certainly dont count especially when you cheat in the GP and can only manage 6th place before disqualification.

Not sure I made any claims about being destroyed, but I do think Lec will outpace him in the driver's standings at the end of the year. We've had 2 races...let's see how it pans out but I see your tactic is to change the goal posts when your original statement isnt proving to be correct (him winning WDC). I did say he isnt capable of beating 4-6 other drivers when the cars are close (even though he has the fastest car). He's NEVER been able to beat actual talent before, nor will he ever do it.

LEW is actually a 6-time WDC . Because his 2008 WDC was a stolen WDC .

Silly is only one of the words that come to mind...all of the betting houses have Hamilton at +$2000. It takes only a $1000 wager on him to pay that $20,000. Anyone else smell the bull?
