Exactly, I couldn't give a rats ass what the M gestapo thinks about things

Personally I just added a 12th M badge to the car that already had 11 for a few weeks to see what I thought about it. In the end I didn't like it or any badges at all and never took, let alone posted a picture of it.

Easter bunny brought plenty of fake badges and ugly decals this Easter 🐰

“Turbo” E90 323i.

The super rare M118i was interesting one. Parked right in front me in a mostly open area lol. It’s a free country, but if I had a M118i badged car I’m not parking anywhere near an M or M-lite.

Relax, it's a joke, not a personal indictment.

Just so everyone is clear, I don't actually carry the authority to send anyone to an El Salvadorian prison for M badge violations...

Yet.

100%

I have always had a super sharp tongue when it comes to cheeseball (there I go) badging and I am even WORSE with tri-colored grill stripes, but at the end of the day, these threads are fun. To each his own, within reason. The grill stripes are just an easy profile.

When I first saw this photo I thought it had duelling M badges left and right.

That would be something….

It did have M badges on the sides (but those may have been stock since I believe it was at least an M sport model)

They've been doing fender badges since at least 2013 with the M235i. Though they're m-performance models (not optional packages)...

I always get messed up on parts lookup sites for my car. You have to scroll down the list because it's down with the Ms.

C250 AMG. Was not expecting a middle aged female driver but I guess fake badging is a language which transcends all barriers.

You know it's legit when you just slap the badge on top of some random place on your trunk. Just like the factory.

And they've been doing ///M door moldings long before that... which is why my 1996 318ti with the Sport package (E36/5 with the M44 engine) had them from the factory (bought new).

1996 Sport package had M tuned sport suspension from the 1995 limited edition Club Sport package (reference: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...-archive-test/)

Funny thing is - I can NOT tell anymore if someone has gone off the deep end with badge engineering, or if BMW NA has done it for them!

There are just way too many badges on new bimmers these days!

IMHO,
