Sorry haven’t been keeping up with my own thread (work and things). I sold my M2C MT and bought a ‘21 C8 2LT Z51 HTC w/6k miles and 36K/month bumper to bumper warranty.
The 6K covered the warranty and yes neg equity on the M2.
I made a mistake in purchasing the M2 in that the documented accident the M2 has was “severe” (I didn’t read close enough). Which that is on me for not making damn sure I was informed. With that admitted, in my bliss driving the M2C hard in the hill country of the Tennessee valley, there was no way (at my skill level), to know the M2 was even in an accident. I really enjoyed it as wells as the past 3 bimmers I’ve driven over the years. But in that is my affliction. I move from car to car. I looked at recent model M4C convertibles and came close but just found a C8 that I really like.

As far as maintenance cost, between the C8 and M2C it’s negligible. As far as the trans failures, yep it’s a risk but the maintenance records are impeccable, the powertrain warranty covers and the warranty mentioned above covers. Plus if you can change your engine oil, you can do the trans maintenance. It’s really not that bad.

Anyhow. I really enjoyed this M2 forum (not as much as the MKV Supera forum), and the folks who make it up. I’ll still be on for the wife’s IX….

Good move on the '21 C8 2LT Z51 HTC w/6k miles and 36K/month bumper to bumper warranty. Well done.
