I am afraid it is infested. Many of the leaves are half eaten and many leaves curled up. The long red forked tongue was equally freaky. So the giant swallowtails made their way to texas.

Are there no birds that eat these little monsters in TX?

I don't like knowing those things are in Houston.

Not an expert but I believed these monsters love citrus plants. I have an orange tree and it seems to be attracted to that one tree and not the other trees (finger crossed).

some caterpillars will make you really itchy if you accidentally brush yourself against them. then part of your skin would be red and swollen.
