Primary concern for me is whether or not they cheapen the materials on the inside like they did for other models. The X5 and X7 are best in class for luxury as far as I’m concerned. Would hate to see them lose that. My wife and I are looking forward to the IX7 but only if it’s the same quality we are used to.

Whether the rendering is accurate or not, the changes driven by Neue Klasse are inevitable. X5 is one of BMW’s best sellers. Waiting for sales statistics to arrive.

Nothing special, just another SUV with BMW kidney front. BMW design sucks these days.

It’s inevitable but it seems like they are lowering the x5 as well just like they did with the x3. I want my midsize to be and sit taller

agree.
Likely a result of sharing platforms with EV for aerodynamics. Unfortunate. Many folks refer to their x5 as a “truck”. That won’t be the case with the g65

I find it difficult to argue with this. #FACT

The camouflaged spy shots make it look lower and I think I may have read they were doing that for aero

Why is it going me Acura MDX vibes?
Looking forward to interior shots. I think the front kidneys should be larger and more pronounced to match its size

It looks encouraging

BMW is definitely doing a better job than they did with the current 7-series, which I still can’t look at (it’s the first car ever I can’t get used to, it hasn’t “grown on me”, and I doubt it ever will; it’s just plain hideous inside and out)

Some of the above comments bring up the height - this is clearly down to personal preferences, and I am in the camp who will welcome the lowering of the roof line as well as the seating position. Being 6 foot tall I never liked the sensation of CLIMBING UP to sit in my X5 M60i. Neither did I like the tall sitting position. Being closer to the ground (even if that’s 2 inches) would do much good to the driving experience

Let’s see. My hopes are high (in particular I’m hoping for an exciting and muscular M variant…)

The rendering is missing all of the black contrasting geometric cladding along the rocker panels, like the XM, that's visible in all of the photos w/ the camouflaged test cars....

No bumpers…
Would you call those fenders?
Looks like a Chrysler Pacifica/normal crossover.
The 2025 Volvo wagon frankly looks a hell of a lot better from the outside…
And we all know what the inside will be like….
