That's insanity.

GatorBlue371 wroteTruth be told, there is nothing like the sound of a good American V8 with the right exhaust.Any gear, any speed, the car can throw you back in your seat and peel the skin on your face.
Get one.
E82tt6 wroteRead it again and this time try and comprehend the words. No pro-BMW speak in there anywhere (I wouldn't have a 335i either). By decent road manners (vette) I mean it's quite compliant for general road use. That was a compliment in the fact it can be both docile and a terror. Not many cars can pull that one off.Did you know that Formula 1 cars use leaf springs?
"Decent road manners"? The ignorance is strong with this one. Any vette will easily outhandle any car made by BMW.
This is the one problem I have with BMW boards, too much of this kinda crap.

Be careful throwing around words like ignorance. You just may run into someone one day in the flesh without the LCD screen to hide behind. But that's to be expected from the 1er crowd as per how unfriendly your website is to each other let alone any "outsider." Entry level car...entry level humans I guess.
BTW, leaf springs in F1. I hope that was just a joke on your part. Ever heard of a wishbone suspension with T bars, dampers, and coil springs? My god! Go back to entry-level land...please and thank you.
And for what it's worth, the vette with those massive tires has a lot to do with its lateral grip. I'm not knocking the vette. I'm not a vette kinda guy, but I appreciate it for what it is.

Here is a Video w/ the Corvette LS3 exhaust
Compare the fastest Nurburgring Lap times of any street legal BMW to a Corvette of the same $$ and you'll understand why Corvette owners laugh at BMW drivers.
MVF4Rrider wrotewell same goes for you then, lets pray you never run into one of us "entry level people" on the street. .

SiNiStErE92 wroteGood question. I shun another 'Vette because there were no good dealerships in my area, a situation that has worsened with GM in financial trouble and dealerships closing shop. The only reason.as another member stated. Many of you who have a 335i could have just as easily gotten a vette so my question is how come none of u have one ? I'm not sAying this in a malicious manner or anything but just curious..
GatorBlue371 wroteI hate to be the one to let you in on this, but neither was the 'vette - but that doesn't stop the 'vette crowd from treating Zora Arkus-Duntov like he walked on water. . .They reacted about as badly as when i informed the boys on the ///M forums that their car was not in fact designed by Jesus.

GatorBlue371 wroteDon't know if you're referring to me or not, but one look at the Corvette's repair record through the years is enough to question the "annoyance factor" of someone who defends them so vigorously. At one point (just before the C4), the Corvette was the heaviest car in the Chevrolet catalog - full-size Caprice included. They've made a lot of progress, but Chevrolet has left a lot of trashy baggage behind. It's a good car, but you defending them while you bash BMW's is really the most pathetic statement yet.Fail.
There is no group of Men on this earth more annoying or pathetic than BMW badge whores.

So, im not so sure you should be smack talking just yet

A trip to the Nordschleife would be great wouldn't it. I'm inviting you to come over and see what you can do with your fast car.
Calling us badge whores in general isn't very nice sir but I forgive you once.

Now a C6R would roll over an M3 CSL, EASY.

guardianangel3290 wroteThe M3 CSL was only produced to 1400 units, it featured an aggressive weight reduction program, anti-roll bars, stiffer spring rates, and semi-slick racing compound tires, carbon fiber parts throughout, and cost almost 3x as much as a stock C6 when it was released.a corvette is chevy's "professional" race model as well
Yeah, and the C6 spanks the M3 E92, and cost $10,000 less. So what?and a new c6 and m3 are relatively the same price so the compro is actually pretty legit, get your facts straight
