But what do they care? AT&T knows you can't get the iPhone through other carriers, and Apple... well... Apple knows they could run a train on your wife and you'd still buy the iPhone...

I got one and so did my buddy here is how:

if you already have an iphone go to the app store and download the new "apple store" (I just typed store) app. once downloaded you will easily be able to reserve your new iphone. i had no problems and did it very fast the first time, unlike online.
