Hey guys I was trying to pair my phone to my car , but since I bough my car used the fucker didn't give me manual or anything ! Now my question is does all BMW use same passcode ? If so can u guy help me out here and post a passcode for me thanks

I'm pretty sure you make up the passcode when you sync it up...it's been a while since I've done it, but it shouldn't matter what already exists

you set the password at every pair

otherwise try 0000
that's default for most anything bluetooth

The car doesn't have one it's your phone, so worst case just call your phone service provider

-1. The car BT unit should have a set passcode. It will either come in the manual on a little laminated piece of paper or you can get it off of the TCU (usually in the trunk somewhere).

With the vehicles (at least mine and my BT headset) you only enter the passkey that is set for that device.

That's odd. Everytime I pair a new phone, I've always used 12345. I doubt that BMW gave me that as their set passcode.

I don't think that you are doing it right, otherwise you would be prompted on your phone to create a password.

Weird, every bluetooth passcode I've ever seen has been 4 digits. Here is the Z4 thread about this topic, not sure how similar the 335 is but I would think it would be similar.

When pairing the a phone, you have to put the phone in discover mode, and once the car connects to the phone the phone which come up with a prompt for pass code which you can enter any number you like. Once done the BMW will prompt you to enter the same pass code and once entered correctly the two should pair.

You might want to delete the previous pair phone form the BMW system so the previous owner phone does not show up in the list.

Hmm. Maybe this is for the Z4 only. I use 12345 in my GF's Acura TL and it worked. Also use 12345 when I pair with someone else's BT phone. Never had any issue.

Not on my car at least - I asked my SA about this and he said just type the same code (doesn't matter what it is) on both your car and phone when each asks for it and it will pair. That's what I did, and it paired no problem

Typed 1234 when the BT asked for my code, went into BT connection on my phone, found BMW, prompted me for code, typed 1234, and the rest is history

Perhaps then. I don't have Nav/DVD so there is really no good way for us to enter the #'s. Same with my Plantronics BT headset. Guess you can probably disregard my post, as the 335 is set up differently.

It isn't. Go in your car activate bluetooth on your phone and on your car. On your car, type 1234 for the code. Now go to bluetooth connections on your phone, and try accessing the connection for your car (will be called BMW something) and type 1234 when your phone prompts you for the code - the devices will pair.

It's not really that complicated. I figured out how to pair my phone, and all the voice commands to store names, dial numbers, etc. on my own without the manual. The voice commands were trial and error to find the right phases, but it's pretty intuitive.

I had to do it the exact same way when I had my M Coupe. With iDrive, it's as simple as creating an arbitrary code each time you want to pair a new device.

The passcode is whatever you want it to be, as long as it's 4 digits and you type the same code on both the car and your phone. They don't come with a predetermined code
