Many, many years ago I got a DWI (driving without identification) and had a 700-900$ ticket.

More recently I got a red light cam ticket for like $450 ;(

I have been pulled over 3 times with out my ID. They can just run your License ID #. You can remember the # and tell them.

I always tell them my wallet was stolen. They dont do anything.

this was like right around hs before i had a license. i had my permit and was just driving. ironically i was planning to take the drivers exam either that weekend or the following weekend since i had the required number of hours already. funny part was i got 2 or 3 points on my license and i didn't technically have a license at that time. mistake i blame on my youth.

i watched reservoir dogs that night for the first time, for some reason i'll always remember that fact.

Oh I do. I have a clip wallet, it falls in the smallest areas in the car and at home.

Just those 3 times were ironically perfect times to get pulled over.

Holy shit...tickets in Cali are expensive. Every one of my tickets have been for speeding and they were 20+ over the limit. My most expensive one was $149.

A couple months ago I got pulled over for "unsafe lane change" (failure to use turn signal), not having my most current insurance card on me, no front plate, and tint. when I got the notice of bail, It came out to $14xx. But after getting the tint and plate ticket signed off as well as showing proof of insurance to the court clerk, It was reduced to $295 (including the $25x3 for the correctable violations)

I have till the beg of Nov to submit my trial by written declaration for the unsafe lane change violation. the cop filled up the entire front space for the violations lol

It better be a done deal.

what the hell is DWI all about? Does that mean you must carry your ID at all times you are driving? Over here our traffic police have onboard systems they can type in your license plate and it comes up with info about the car and insured drivers on it.

So as long as the car is insured you dont need to worry. Infact you can even get away with using someone elses insurance details if you remember their D.O.B and address details. I'm suprised about the loophole and I know one day they will force you to carry license for the photo ID and/or they will have access to driving licences on their systems which shows your photo.

Over here traffic police are very tough though. In my city alone they are everywhere in top cars the latest being the new F10 530d. Yesterday my friend got pulled over and they did an emissions test at the side of the road. Other big things are tints and licence plates. There needs to be a certain spacing size between letters etc.

Anyway that was offtopic, my only fine was parking related offence which works out to be $120 roughly. Other than that totally clean license

$350 exhibition of speed.

Smoking the tires of a modded el camino at a stoplight. I'll never forget the red and blues slowly appearing in the rear view mirror as the smoke cleared lol.

$680 - reckless driving... was in a bad mood and argued with the cop.... first he said i gassed it on a yellow i argued that i had to or i would block traffic. He then says i ran a red while a pedestrian was crossing the road. went to court and the guy just looked at it and said this was a bs ticket and reduced it to running a yellow (laws here mean no tickets can be thrown out unless completely impossible)

On an unrelated note a friend of mine once got a red light ticket and went to court dressing as nice as he could and the moment he stepped into the room the judge just threw out the ticket thinking he was a lawyer.
