Very surprising race all the way around, I expected the McLarens to power away, but Max hung in there until all hell broke loose lol.

RB absolutely screwed Max bringing him in for those crappy hard tires! Why did they do that, his softs weren't even that old! Crazy decision!

I knew when I heard Max angry on the radio about the tire choice we were in for something to happen, and when he nearly lost it coming on to the straight on the restart (what a save!) I can only imagine how red his vision was. There's no excuse for him hitting George like that, but I love Max's passion. In modern sports where it seems almost all heated competition is gone and everyone are friends, Max reminds me of an old school driver who just wants to win at all costs. I love to see it.

Pretty good race all around. The save from Max heading on to the straight at the restart was BONKERS.

i don't know why anyone pitted that late into the SC. but everyone pitted so they must know something i don't. usually if you want to try to beat the car in front you will stay out if the guy in front pits, or pit if the guy in front stays out (Ham vs Max Abu Dhabi 2021 in case anyone doesn't understand how it works).

Hulkenberg said getting knocked out in Q1 was a good thing because he had lots of new tires available to him. But even then, to go from P15 to P5 is some mega drive!

Hannah is usually right on this the majority of the time but it was a mistake to switch to hards. Honestly, they should have had Tsu test the hards since he wasnt doing much today anyway. They should have left Max on the softs for what was only a handful of laps - he would have been on the podium at worst and had a good chance to win the race.

Charles said Max was trying to push him into the dirty part of the track - and that he would have done exactly the same if the roles were swapped.

so he pushed back and he said it didn't blame Max, but rather called it a "racing incident".

the video looks like Charles pushed back more lol.

i was so confused when everybody pitted with a handful of laps to go. i thought nobody had new tires (- well other than hard)

Honestly, he's been good all year. He and Max IMO given their cars have been some of the most impressive. The Mclarens literally dont even need to do anything much other than keep the car on track since it's advantage is so great - certainly the biggest we have seen in a long time and maybe even greater than what MB had.

Before the season started my gut was telling me the WCC was theirs to lose but it’s been even worse, they’ve pretty much disappeared into the distance and have wrapped it up before the halfway point. Currently, the only fight is between the two for the WDC and the eventual contact happening sometime before the summer break. I could see their infighting keeping Max within striking distance and especially if the Merc engine issues hit the McClarens too.

It's a shame Hulk never got into a better team because he's quite solid. Definitely at least equal to Sai who is getting roasted by Alb.

After Max, Lec, Nor, Pia, Rus, Alo, Ant, Alb, I would maybe put Hulk right there at the end of the single digits with Sai before you get into the 10-20 drivers.
