We’re raising wimps.

My wife was born and raised in Montana and thought nothing of walking to school in the snow.

I was born and raised in California and we walked to school, rain or shine. No sympathy from mom or dad. They simply said, “Put on your rain coat.” When I got home, I did my paper route rain or shine. Got wet and cold sometimes.

It's absolutely fucking insane, drives me totally crazy. Any excuse for teachers to have a day off. Before the AMericans @ me, Ontario teachers avg damn near 6 figures. They close the schools for an ENTIRE FUCKING REGION because they may need to cancel a bus for one school.

HAS ANYONE LOOKED AT A FUCKING MAP? We live in Canada, you know, the cold country.

Not any more. Since COVID lockdown changed the school attendance funding rules to allow remote learning, kids will never know the joy of a snow day because the schools switch to remote learning to get the government money.
