new to me 1980 633CSi automatic. 95% original, Safari Beige on Tan leather. 95,721 miles drives like a champ on the highway. Car came to me like this, all I added was an original front spoiler, OEM fogs, a pin stripe and minor fixes like a wiper fluid pump, instrument cluster lights and new door lock motors. Might be shopping for some new shoes, Alpina 20 spoke or 2 piece Style 5s with a polished lip but not just yet. Have only put 100 miles on so far but many more to come!

It wasn't a classic but my first BMW was an '01 325Cic and I loved it. I nearly replaced it with an '05 Titanium Silver ZHP Coupe but the dealer would not budge on their price. Instead, the replacement was an '09 E92 335 6MT.

The last owner put the car in a dry storage for about 20 years. The car weights just approx. 1,000 kilos. It has a manual shifter and the smooth six-cylinder. It is a very light driving experience. It is definitely a time capsule. It smells and feels inside the cabin like its 1985! The velour seats are like new. All the plastic parts inside show no wear. There is still original wax from the factory in the engine bay. My plan is to drive the car as often as possible during the next months.

I‘ve found some photos from September 1990 and July 1991 showing some E30, a E28 and two E12.
As a teenager back in the early 1990s, I used to take photos with a Fuji Quick Snap disposable camera mainly from BMW cars at the dealerships, on the streets etc. The pictures of the green and red E12 as well as the silver E28 were taken on 17 September 1990 during my bike ride home after school. The red E12 was sitting in the used car lot of a BMW dealer nearby, surrounded by some E30s. The neglected green E12 was also an interesting object. Those early E12 have been mostly disappeared from the streets in the early 1990s. The silver 1985 E28 525i in the garage was my dad‘s car. Unfortunately the E28 was totaled in 1991, so my dad has to buy a new car. He bought the delphin grey E30 318i in 1991 which he drove until 2004. After 19 years without an E30 in the family, I bought last month a 1984 E30. I am going to meet my dad this weekend to show him the ‚new‘ E30.

This was from last week over the July 4th heatwave weekend. We took a road trip down to Southern California to find some birria tacos.
The DSC clonked out after being heat soaked a few hours into the trip (yaw sensor code apparently) but it’s returned to normal since the weather cooled back down.
