I have three bikes. Just added this GSXR to get out on track this year.

Interesting new concept from Honda: 850cc V-3 with electric supercharger. The illustration does not show the whole bike.
75-degree V-3 liquid-cooled engine. Two cylinders forward and one to the rear.

A quick reminder that we have a motorcycle thread.

In the 1960s, I had the hots for motorcycles, although I had the funds for a child's tricycle.
![]() One of the ones that stands out in my memory was the 1966 Suzuki T20 250 X6 Hustler, which was a standout in the 250cc class. Six-speed transmission when the industry standard was four speeds. 29 horsepower and 300-pound curb weight. A real 2-stroke hot rod! After I finished my university education and joined the Navy, I could finally manage to buy a (used) bike. I found a Honda 350 and drove it for a year, then bought a new 1972 Kawasaki H-1B 500cc triple at my first duty station. That was the only 2-stroke I ever owned. Not a very good bike, although the acceleration was fierce. Anyway, here's an X6 Hustler from 1967.

Then there was the game-changing Honda 750 inline-four. When I lived in Taiwan in 1974-75 I had a car and my best buddy had a CB750. Taiwan was still very third world-ish and had hordes of 100cc and under bikes on all streets. I switched rides with my friend a number of times and driving the CB750 was like a whale swimming with minnows.

Quote:
The T20 had two nuisances. One was that the kick start lever was on the left side, and the other was that the exhaust baffles would carbon up every few hundred miles and need to be removed from the muffler to be cleaned. They were only held in with one screw, so it wasn't a huge chore to clean them when the engine performance started dropping.....
