Great TV series - What are you watching now?

My wife is in Phoenix Arizona visiting her sister this week so it's just me and the dog hanging out. We binged season 4 Drive to Survive. Monday/Tuesday night. I really enjoyed it.

Yes, Discovery+ is a pay to stream service. I think I'm paying around $5/mo.

It's good if you like any of the Discovery channels, TLC, ID, etc.

We've been enjoying a new series on Discovery + called "My Pack Life". It's a good show for animal lovers!

Unfortunately, it is. $5. I will say that it has really good and original reality content!
I also understand that it will soon be included with HBOMAX.

Nice! I pay for HBO Max already and the better half pays for Discovery for her ghost shows. It's only $5, but it would be nice to save that!

I also buy HBO Max by the year since it saves something like 14%, not a lot, but no point in paying more for it when I know I'm going to use it.

Anyone watching shows you wouldn't be caught in public watching?

For me, it's Joe Millionaire.

Just perplexing how they couldn't find better looking women. A lot of them are crazy plastic.

I'm usually like that but made exceptions for Tiger King and this one. It's like so fake but good to play in the backgrd while doing chores, etc, haha. I'm just amazed in a country of 300M+ they could only find mainly trashy women in terms of both looks and demeanor.

The wife and I watched Joe Millionaire. I didn't think it was that bad. Admittedly, we've run out of shows at this point; at least shows that aren't more like trash than this one.

That's good to know. I was wondering if it would be better if the audience didn't know who the rich guy was either...still, it's not as compelling because the other guy shouldn't be too bad anyway. Anyway, it's something to fill the time, we're on our 3rd episode.

Started watching Severance. Seems interesting, with decent reviews, but on the other hand I keep falling asleep while watching it. It’s like a sleep story or something.... Anyone able to keep watching through the Season?

We watched 1.5 episodes and lost interest, which wasn’t all that high to start.

Yes! A good selection of “background” shows are always needed.

Wife and I usually have Seinfeld on it in the background during dinner. We use to have the news on - but it’s just so darn depressing to listen to, and Seinfeld always makes us laugh.

Man, I get that they're going for some allegory but all the symbolism and other odd stuff just had me zoning out. I'll still watch s3 to see how it all pans out but they really lost me after the first few episodes of the show w all this crazy convoluted and metaphoric stuff.
