Thanks y'all, I really, really appreciate it. I rounded up 230 folks from my company and we're going to send a couple priority mail boxes full of cards on Monday. I wish I could see the look on his face when he gets the deluge coming his way!

We went to the post after collecting the cards, but apparently all packets and cards had a send by date two weeks ago if they're meant to make it to the USA by Christmas.

Amazon it is then! (or not, since nothing works today!)

My kids keep laughing at me because I start crying at random because of this story. They made cards too, but it appears the only way to get them by c is to book them an airplane seat. This is so pathetic.

And yet an other edit since I truly get nothing right today!

I sent a card, my son insisted a picture of him in front of a cement truck is the shit, so that's what he got and a gift card to amazon that'll cover a coffee mug or two.

Now if you all excuse me, I will take my massive hangover to bed and hope to die.

If the kid is bad with infections, I'd kill anyone whod send stuff directly to him if i was his guardian. I'd imagine they do at least the "sauna treatment" to all things the kid gets near him.

I ended up sending a picture of a cement truck and my son standing next to it via some card service in the USA. I truly hope they don't use the sweat of flu patients to seal the envelopes.

Gotta hand it to the op, he made this damn busy time feel like Christmas, at least for me. Last Saturday my friends and I had our annual "Make a grand plan and never even attempt to follow through" Christmas party, which for the last 11 years has meant us sitting on our computers at home, while drinking tons and chatting via IRC (we are old!). This year because of the op, we not only got drunk, we also made crafts.

The saddest part of our party is that our spouses have a counter party and the fuckers keep snatching photos of our geek fun. Now that I've seen my concentration face while trying to hand write to a card something while covered in glue and some glitter shit I stole from my kids, I swear I'm never doing that again.

All I can say is that when we were young university students, we were the coolest kids in our Linux club!

You sir win, and I had to quote your question (a mild editing was done to include other parties too) in a feminist forum I kind of have been trolling lately (I agree with their agenda in many ways, they just are intolerable bullies while trying to make sure everybody knows they are better than the rest of the population).

Unless it's all Finnish, then forget it. I'd have to enlist you to translate what I want to say, and it's simply too much work. Strangely though, I would actually trust you to translate into Finnish in that case. Any other time though, probably not.

Edit: Oh I could think of so many things to say. A woman's place is in the home. Women should be content to simply look after their children and husband (in some cases, the maturity level does not differ). So many things. Except they are too obviously trolling, I would have to repackage them in a more subtle manner.

My answer to her was : " I agree, but the one aspect that gets lost in this all is that men also should have rights. Men are seen by courts everywhere as cash cows or even worse, they end up losing their kids because we assume the mother is always the better parent. "

So yeah, I was told I'm an abuser, user, and stupid fucks like me should be castrated and basically my goal in life is apparently to rape all women.

I'm not a man only in bp. For people who have a lot to say, they don't listen very well.

LOL, well I guess I can't offer anything if it isn't in English. You need to learn subtlety if you want to troll.

I guess I'd agree with most of the above, unless you include abortion in your definition of birth control. It would be in such rare circumstances that I would see abortion as an option. I cannot justify the killing of an innocent life whose voice and choice cannot be expressed. But we love to disagree.

Well I bloody hell didn't expect them to view me as a man! And the poster, well she's a bigot. And I'm cool with celebrating what we have, but arent we supposed to look forward and be smarter than to just accept status quo as the best that can be done?

Abortion is not birth control, it's mainly ensuring a fucked up situation won't escalate any further. It is a very important piece for women everywhere to have the option but education, opportunities and easily accessed birth control is the way to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Personally, I doubt I could go through with an abortion, no matter what. This I call white educated rich girl talk, since I can pull it all off on my own. If I ended up single tomorrow, I wouldn't need to worry about food or housing, and those alone ensure I have zero perspective in this matter.

I actually am pretty sure our views in this are not very different. We just have a slightly different perspective and abortion is a word that makes people always stand their ground even when they are more understanding than they let others to believe.
