If someone bought it at MSRP of $34775 (of which there are some who did), if they could actually sell it for $38k that'll be about break even.

It's also not fair to say it's just another Civic... unless you're also willing to say how there are also dipshits like me who dropped $60k+ on a 2 series.

IMO, Civic Type R (at MSRP) over the M240 all day everyday. But an extremely tough decision between CTR and M2.

Appreciate everyone's opinion. I'm only comparing classes of cars that, in my opinion, should have outrageous styling and that hot hatches should look bonkers. It's the over-the-top styling on the CTR that I love, along with the performance. I wish my M2 were a little more over-the-top in styling (as long as there's no fake vents).

But that seems to be the allure of this car, that an FWD is able to post such an impressive 'ring time. Again, I've never concerned myself too much with Nurburgring times, but what that car can do is pretty impressive. It's just damn fugly. They can't tell me that that's the only way they could have made the car look to perform the way it does. If it looked just a little more palatable, people would be all over this thing.

I saw a gray one and thought it looked great... but again, a FWD turbo car is not my thing... if they made this car AWD and more akin to an EVO, I think it would be great.

I think this might be the first car in history where the mods are to remove the crap the factory installed to make it look better. A factory de-mod if you will to tone down the professional vandalism.
