NICE I remember being like, 7 or 8 years old, and begging my dad to take me to go see the Thompson Twins. That was my very first concert. Ever since then I've been stuck in the 80s

Great collection, thanks for posting this. I'm glad they included alot of the less obvious songs, not just a list of 80's greatest hits.

p.s. The Replacements :rocks:

For those of you who...ahem...download the occasional mp3 (that you already own of course), there is a 4Gb torrent file on mininova.org - The 1000 greatest 80s tunes.

Fer sure!

holy crap, great link! I just saw the B-52's "Private Idaho". I have the album and like the song (just kind of a weird fun song) but watching that crappy video almost ruined it for me. Other songs in that B-52's album include "Strobe Light", anyone ever heard it? Funny song for a teenager in the 80's.

lol. My brother in law is in one of the most popular ones (maybe not to you guys), and made more than a million off of the one song/video. Any guesses?

Hint: Sold more cds in the 80's than anybody else in the world.

BTW, great link! Thanks

That was going to be my next hint "Look at where I'm from".

But! it's Bawstun tho. The people from Rhode Island call it Baaahhston. The former mayor of Boston used to call it "the shitty abaushun", instead of the city of boston. Since we don't really pronounce 'R's it sounded like abortion to us.

Btw, I did get to go on quite a few righteous trips for free, back in the day. Not that I cared for the music, it was really fun.

Kewl man! I'm an Los Angeles guy thick and thin so I was just spelling Boston phonetically. Although I did get a scholarship to Berklee College of Music! :rocks: Alas I didn't go.

80's music ROCKS! :rocks: Forever an electronic alternative fan!
