Great TV series - What are you watching now?

Saul was excellent this week. It seems like we've transitioned into post BB Saul Goodman. They really struck gold with this show. I will say, I think Saul
Should've let the last mark go, I've got a bad feeling about the outcome.

Just saw the first episode and it looks interesting. Selena's surprisingly a good actress.

I enjoyed the last episode, I'll watch if they're able to make season 2.

We watched Keep Breathing. My [biased Latina] wife thought is was great [because it was based on a Latina]. I thought it was ok and worth watching when nothing else is on.

There were supposed to be 10 episodes but they shortened it because Jeff Bridges got cancer and then had a serious bout with COVID.

My wife and I started watching Breaking Bad for the first time last week. After all the great comments, we thought we would give it a try.

After 4 episodes, we are calling it quits. Neither of us care at all about any of the characters and the story line is just depressing.

For those who liked the show, are we giving up too soon?

Maybe were are just too old!

If you find it depressing and can’t get into the premise or characters 4 episodes in, it won’t get better for you (although it does get much better if you like it). There’s a lot of popular shows I don’t like either.

It's a top notch show overall. But I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea.

For me, it was really easy to get hooked on the show about halfway through season 1; and then it only gets better and better after that.

However, it can be depressing at time. Season 5 (final season) is by far the most depressing; and maybe not for reasons you're thinking.

Yeah. The storyline and characters all have a really great development arc.

I think I've watched all the way through it 3-4 times now.

You have to hang in there. I had the same feeling about it being depressing and wanted to give it up. My sister talked me into sticking with it. Keep going. It gets really, really good. Don't give up now.

Agreed, we started watching a few years ago and didn't make it to 4 episodes. Very dark and depressing. We ended up giving it another try starting last winter I guess and we couldn't give it up.....and then Better Call Saul.

Definitely dark story lines but some great TV.
