I see a few potential situations here:

1) You didn't go to Au Cheval, you instead drunkenly walked into Burger King and were so wasted you thought it was Au Cheval
2) You went to Au Cheval, ordered a burger, then threw the burger in the trash, dug it out, then threw it in the street, picked it up, then threw it in a toilet, fished it out, then sat down to eat it.
3) You stepped on a gravitational anomaly which sent you into an alternate universe where Au Cheval makes shitty burgers. You ate shitty burger, then somehow found your way back to our world without realizing you had ever left, your only memory having eaten from shitty Au Cheval.

And it's not just a Chicago thing where we don't have good taste or something. Au Cheval routinely makes the list for one of the best burgers in the country. In fact Food Network ranks it THE best burger in the country.

Yeah please do. We had five in our party and four burgers were ordered. Even the salad the fifth person ordered was funky.

The most offputting thing about the burger was the patty. It did NOT look like photos and shit we've seen. Shit looked like a frozen puck and tasted like it as well. You know when the burger is just exceptionally circular and I mean perfectly circular? It was like that. It's why we were all confused as to how this, clearly processed frozen patty looking thing was this highly rated, lol.

Did sous vide ribs last night. 152 for 24 hrs. Then rub and sear in oven at 550 for 5 minutes. Made a corn, bacon, jalapeño, mozzarella bake that was awesome with it, and a little Asian slaw. Kids loved it!
