I mean a wet race...some say that's 90% driver 10% car (and dry 90% car and 10% driver...)
If he gets beaten by a 20 year old rookie in a B team....as a veteran driver being part of one of the biggest contract sums ever in F1....there's no excuse for that.

That’s why the awards-giving body for advertising and communications gave the film a total of 15 prizes and 8 categories, besting more than 37,000 entries this year.

Weather update: Suzuka weather at race start @ 2pm local time (7am European time):
the rain gods decided to keep rain showers moving from south west to north east without crossing Suzuka.

So it looks like we're heading for a race start on a wet track without rain showers expected. Maybe (rather unlikely) some drops, patches or drizzle in later/late stages of the race, but no need for inters or full wets.

Race start will be crucial on the wet track: too much wheel spin when the lights go out, will cost track positions + risk of some 'entanglements'. Race line will dry up as the 'train of cars' keeps lapping the track.

Poor Yuki, outqualified at home by the guy he replaced in the junior team car. Not a good start, but I think he'll improve pretty quickly.

Not much happening but they're all in that phase that they manage the tyres (the tyre game makes F1 dull in this era)

But judging by the times TSU has been in GAS gearbox for quite a while now and RUS is trying his luck with LEC.
That's probably where the action is if any.
I hope TSU doesn't cook his tyres too much with this, the race is still long and there's not really any progression with his actions.

Lando sure makes a lot of dumb mistakes. If he just stayed right behind out of pit lane, he would be right behind and would be able to try to pass him as the race goes on with DRS, etc. Just a lot of dumb mistakes

....stupid strategy from McLaren to pit NOR the same time as VER.
Max pits in front as P1 and has the pitbox behind McLaren so he always has right of way when he drives through the pits.
You have to pit so much faster to not get an unsafe release as potential penalty.....

The whole strategy of undercut is to try and solve these problems....
