Yesterday was takeaway shish chicken picked up on the way back from a long walk on the common.

No picture, but I made blackened grilled octopus with Healthy Noodles and steamed broccoli.

Yesterday it was slow cooked pork joint with new potatoes and plenty of broccoli.

Friday and Saturday the fiance was still out of town, so both nights I ordered from this great Indian/Pakistani restaurant.

Chicken tikka masala w/green masala rice, beef samosa, and nutella naan (crazy good) was Friday night.

Chicken palak w/green masala rice, papri chat (a cold appetizer with chickpeas and lots of spices) with raita was Saturday night.


Now I need to get back in the habit of eating healthy and drop all the weight I added over the pandemic.

Today it was home made chicken curry (surprise surprise) with rice but this time the other half made it with other ingredients including raisins while I took care of the salad and had an IPA beer with it.

Tonight was Panko crusted baked cod, mashed taters, and corn. But the crowning jewel was the Cain's Tartar Sauce my brother brought out with him from VA. I grew up on Cain's condiments and I miss them something awful. The thing that ticks me off is Cain's is owned by a company in IL, just up the road. But they won't sell it here.

Filling: wild rice, corn, black beans, onions, pine nuts, arugula, marinara, breadcrumbs, garlic, ricotta and egg.

'A New England tradition' I'll see if Tesco has that tartare sauce.
