My son had green lederhosen, his gf dressed up as a bier wench. They went out Saturday night, and Sunday morning I got to clean up some sort of red barf by his car, passenger side.

Dog had a sushi outfit.

Sunday night was the first time in 20+ years we've actually been home on All Hallows. I think maybe 10 times the doorbell rang. (Each time, I had to sample the bowl) At one point, my son held the dog, and we had sushi and bier.

That's two more than we had! There are *no* kids in our neighborhood. Heck, my DW is probably the youngest person on our entire street.....

It was quiet at first then the sun set and more kids came out.
We had over 60 kids in my neighborhood (small town outside a big city).
Decent turn out. Last year was about the same, except less kids after dark.

I blame my wife, she put out crap candy lol. Swedish Fish & Sour Patch Kids - the worst (I'm a recovering chocaholic who constantly relapses).

I told her I would have skipped our house too. I was too busy painting cabinets in the back for our kitchen reno to see what candy she put out.

So I put together an Iron Man costume from various sources.

Bought one of those deluxe helmets that actually makes noises and lights up, plus the light up glove, and I custom made a light-up Arc Reactor and imbedded that in the costume chest. I had fun with it! (Wifey was Minnie Mouse but got cut off in this pic.) Oh, and the wife is the door greeter handing out the treats.

Found this gem from 2002. We dressed the horses up. You can't really see it, but she had blue face paint around her eyes, feathers in her mane and body paint on her hiney.

When I was a kid growing up there was this old guy that would scare the piss out of us. When I grew up, I paid it forward. Used to lay in the coffin dressed as Frankenstein and the wife would use code words or tell kids to go poke me. Then I would pop up. Good times before we moved to the farm.

Garage List
My wife counted that we gave out 150 bags of candy. So 150 kids plus another 50-100 adults. Overall not a bad turnout this year.
