I was getting streaks on the outside until I made the switch from microfiber to old 100% cotton t-shirts. I also make my own IPA solution.

When people use newspaper, I’m assuming it is wet with water, right? Or do you add soap or a glass cleaner?

I spray the windows with glass cleaner, and then wipe off with the newspaper. The newspaper will absorb the glass cleaner, and then it works really well. However, I can't use this process any longer, as I don't get a newspaper now...instead preferring to pay a lot less and read their online version. So now when I want to get the windows clean I use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser that I get wet in a bucket, and then spray glass cleaner on them or the window. Then dry off with paper towels.

using glass specific microfiber towels. If your glass is really dirty or has sap, tar, ect you should use a cleaner with a razor blade on the outside to get everything off the glass. Then get everything off the windows and do a ceramic coating properly and you will thank me later.

The other option is to use a detail spray often that has a ceramic infused or whatever they call it. Sio2 type sprays work well to clean and coat the surface.

I’ve found that this cloth from The Rag Company doesn’t leave streaks.
