We’re about 1/2 way through the season after starting earlier this week. I’m sure we will finish by tomorrow. Or today.

After some encouragement from my brother, and after several attempts trying to get past the first couple of episodes, I’m finally binging and enjoying Better Call Saul. Currently starting season 2, episode 7. Glad I was able to persevere…lol. It was worth it. Good show so far!

Nice. I can't say exactly why but I think it's an improvement over last season. Still, the three seasons have been overall solid for the most part.

1923. We love Taylor Sheridans series but are finding 1923 so very slow. The story line is good but it is just dragging on to the point that we're losing interest. There are only a few more episodes so we'll finish it but I don't think it's as good as the other series.

I think that Taylor has too many irons in the fire and will drag stories out in order to fit the streaming schedule, his Texas Ranch much be expensive and all those shows come with big checks. The injuries to Jeremy Renner must have slowed down production on Mayor of Kingstown, the drama with Kevin Costner affected Yellowstone and now there are two spinoffs with 6666 and the Rip and Beth series in the pipeline. In the meantime, we get hooked on Landman and want more.

Intrigued by the trailer. Murf, did it just develop slowly and you didn't want to commit or was it something more extreme? Shit writing? Shot horribly? Etc?

I found it slow, the acting was stiff, it seemed like one of those docudramas to me. I was really hopeful that it would be better.

A new series which kind of has a similar vibe is Poker Face.

Had the same vibe from 1883 which is the prequal. I watched most of the episodes but lost interest before I got to the end. Elsa narration was a real turn off for me, I started to watch 1923 but when I noted that Elsa narrates that as well, turned it off. Something about the flowery dialogue of the narration.

We started Mobland series yesterday and it’s off to a good start. Excellent cast and I’m a big Guy Ritchie fan.
Closed captions are a must for me though. Apparently, I can’t understand England’s English too well. One episode in and off to a good start ![]() |
