Will always root for Ferrari first, but I'm really becoming a Max fan. His level of dominance and old school not giving a f*ck attitude is appealing. No cringey self-promotion and grandstanding like Lewis.

the biggest part is he doesn't take the slingshot high line corner in his lap

with the giant vacuum cleaner under this year's car, i'm guessing the slingshot is going to be the more popular choice?

Max was quickest before the old gearbox cried enough, with the bad gearbox replaced his car will have more wing for FP as you can see RB were trying minimum wing on Checo's car, who went off briefly, which wasn't enough.

On the news it was interesting to see that there are no big transportational problems for the fans that visit Zandvoort (est. 110.000/day).
Last year everything was fine but due to Covid only 2/3 of the capacity was allowed (75.000/day).
For people in other countries: fans are only allowed to arrive by train/bus or bicycle. (the village is closed for cars this weekend, save inhabitants of course)
So lots of people park their cars outside of zandvoort in various places and cycle the last 10 miles or so on the bicycles they brought.

It doesn't get more dutch than that

The first fast lap Max put down very early in fp3 is already faster than the fastest laps of yesterday's practice.

Of course this is all FP so anything is still open.

Checo is already struggling compared with Max, this track is not a favourite of his.

HAM yesterday got a warning about blocking faster drivers and claims his radio was playing up and didn't hear the warnings,I gather Merc are using another radio system other than Bose which was taken away from them after the Abu Dhabi h/phone throw rage by Wolff.
