I honestly don't feel bad for Lawson, but I genuinely think he might have ruined his racing career...

Russell should be feeling confident heading into Austria after his win in Canada. He also won his first race of the last season at the Red Bull Ring, so it is a track that suits him well. McLaren will be looking to recover after a disappointing weekend in Canada and Max will be pushing hard to deliver at Red Bull's home race. I think we will see Max, Oscar, and Russell on the podium.

Off the track, it is shaping up to be a fun weekend for fans. There will be live music from a mix of EDM and local acts, including performances by Fedde Le Grand, MORTEN, and Toby Romeo, plus plenty of entertainment in the fan zones. He gave some insight into the car and RB in general. He felt like once Newey stopped working on the car he was the only one there helping to keep the car more balanced. The team needed his veteran feedback to keep the car from turning into the razorblade that Max tries to set up. He said inside sources at RB regret dropping him.

He also noted that the bullshit rumors that he was going to get canned ultimately ended up playing out because of how bad it hurt team morale. It wasn't just Checo feeling the pressure, but everyone on the RB team as they came in to help support him.

No direct insight to Caddy or any other team, other than he's working on getting back into F1 for next year. I've heard rumors of both Caddy and Alpine, although I'd much rather see him go to Caddy.

I never thought he was stupid or a bad driver... I've been a Checo supporter for a long time now. I saw through the media garbage. He's a super talented veteran driver who has taken mid-field teams to the podium, and helped a top team pull a 1-2 WDC plus WCC championship just 2 years ago. Good as Max? Nope. If he were in a McLaren, would he be hitting podiums, I absolutely think so.

that dude was passing cars like they weren't there in 2022. he'd consistently qualify outside of top 10 due to some engine penalty or something silly and almost guaranteed to podium.

and then they stuffed up the car from 2023 and the rest we know. but i still don't understand how they get from 2022 to 2025. it was backwards every year.

I'll accept that Checo was doing his best with his intellect in trying to fashion the RB car from 2023 onwards to make it more usable without it being a death trap in the turns and as time went on it got slightly worse, without his input it would probably be almost undrivable for pace even for MAX.
