Hell find me a car from the 70's that someone put 30,000+ miles a year on for 10 years and had no breakdowns. I know what the meme implies, but I also know there weren't blocks and blocks of average joe's taking valve covers off and lashing valves on friday so they could get to church safe on sunday. |

I was at a Tesla dealership yesterday. There looked to be dozens of them in the overflow lot. First time seeing one up close; I'm still not convinced it wasn't created in satire.

^ Lets stop to think about that once. So you live your entire life trying to do right. You don't do anything any better than anyone else and you aren't even locally famous. You're in the doctors office getting an exam and they find something. It takes a handful of visits, tests, specialists. Your health is deteriorating the whole time. They come up with a diagnosis and it's something new ... and we're going to name it after you.
Can there be a more asshole move? You're dying from this and the doctors claiming naming rights so I can profit from it when others die from it also. You know it's not like folks should be proud of your well raised children and the productive adults they've become or the time you've donated helping local charities. Nope, it's the killing disease you contracted they remember you by. We are such a fucked up society. |
