I don't think he was convicted for Natalee's murder, but rather for a similar one. What this is more of a similarity is the Scott Peterson murder of his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson. Fortunately the body did, eventually, wash to shore.

Doubt anything was premeditated... im guessing emotions flew off the rails and one thing lead to another. he panicked, covered up what he could, and fled back home. Just the fact they were stopped by police and he had cuts on his face makes it pretty clear that violence was 'ok' in their relationship.

the 2 campers were killed on the 18th and Petito spoke to her father a few days after.

Its possible the campers saw something happen between the two. tried to intervene. and were killed. Laundrie covered it up and didn't want to risk a loose end so he offed petito as well a few days later and drove home.

Can someone answer this? I know the police said they sent them on their way and told them to spend the night apart but it looked to me like they got in the van and left together.

The police put the boyfriend in hotel / motel and Gabby stayed in the van. According to what I read before.

This whole time I have been thinking that you'd have to be a huge piece of shit to possibly know something about a missing person(someone's child) and not say anything just to try to save your kid. I hope if they do know something that they finally told police about it.

I believe a likely explanation at this point is that this entire thing is a hoax for attention to both of them. It's either that or he's suicidal or is already dead.

Beyond that, there's no explanation. Why wouldn't he just run away initially or make up a story?

I saw the protestors on the news. I don’t get that. It’s like there are people walking around looking for the next thing to protest to get attention for themselves. Who the fuck has the time or inclination to go protest at a stranger’s house for something that doesn’t involve the protestor in any way?
