Very nicely planned

Max 1st sector was very good, that toe gave him about 2/10sec.
Otherwise LEC might have beaten him, he was very close.

Yup that 0.2 of a second could’ve easily been a result of the tow but that’s what the best drivers do - maximize the opportunity. But a lot closer than I was expecting.

After seeing the qualifying, I am really looking forward to tomorrow's race as we are likely to see some great battles behind Max. The qualifying times are so close from P2 to P9.

Didn't Lec also get a tow in there benefiting as well or just Sai? Either way, I am not sure how much this helped Max because he did also have to move off the racing line and then back during that tow and his 2nd and 3rd sectors were both also faster than Lec if I recall.

Not sure, the feed I saw only showed Max getting the tow on the straight and that what they were talking about on the broadcast, they didn’t mention LEC or SAI getting any such help in their runs.

Regardless, should be a very interesting start of the race tomorrow and we’ll finally get to see true race pace of all cars.

I think Max's race pace is going to be even better than last year based on the longer runs where his 16th lap was nearly 7 tenths faster than his initial laps and this was the theme across all tire compounds.

Yeah it is all about race pace. Leclerc had some good speed in quali sessions last year. But RB was just light years ahead everyone in the race.

Charlie can get an avantage because the DRS regulations are changed in 2024.
Last year the drivers got DRS in lap 3.
This year they get DRS already in lap 2.

If the start is without incidents, we can get a serious fight from Charlie vs MAX in lap 2.

Of course , theoretically speaking...

People are sleeping on Leclerc if they think Lewis is going to march into Maranello and own Leclerc on the track. The kid is quick. Carlos is a good driver, but he isn't as talented as Charles.

Also Ferrari better clean up their mistakes this year in preparation for Lewis. Doesn't take much to light his fuse.
