Its all subjective dude.
Looks are always in the eye of the beholder and you'll find no shortage of blokes who have a thing for Rosanne Barr but most are gonna run with Giulia Area if given the opportunity.

Yeah, people that don't understand handling always flock to the clown-sized wheels like 20s and 21s.

In a follow up to the Consumer Reports rankings here are the JD Power. Alfa is actually better than I would have thought, but still below average.

I don't know how people can dog on BMW though when they're #1, #2 or top 10. And #1 best Premium sedan, 3 series. The outlier though is Subaru. #1 in CS and way below average in JD. And for the Honda fans, look at Acura. Yes, Honda may be OK but I still don't see how anyone can say Honda is so much better than BMW.

I used to make fun of QF owners, mentioning that they get a Dodge Caravan as a loaner when their car was inevitably broken for long periods of time. Then my local BMW dealer starting putting my wife in rental Hyundai Elantras that reeked of many different types of plants when we take her car in for service. I shut up real quick.

I had more problems with Honda and Acura cars then bmw’s. 2008 TLS engine seized. Warped brakes on all of them cause they are undersized. 2003 TLS xmsn died at 90k mi and was covered due to class action suit.
List goes on … Honda is using some cheapo parts and it is shown in their declining reliability. Just look up class action lawsuits.

e90 330i was amazing and not a single issue but I replaced water pump at 90k mi. Early n54 was rushed to market and was not sorted out but damn 2007 335i was a rocketship. The thing with bmw they support their cars over a long period of time and parts are never an issue.

Also, I looked at Guilia quad but got F80 over it. Just didn’t care for the ext design and auto xmsn and potential support issues. I like sharper design lines and damn those hips are awesome.

I can’t look at G80 and G82 is even worse. they are just too big like m5 size. just my opinion

THIS.

I love Alfa Romeo. My dad had an Alfa in the early 80s, my uncle was a true Alfisti who owned many Alfas during his younger days. Me personally, I've had 3 Alfas - a 156 2.5L V6 which I stroked to 3L, a 1972 GT Junior (my first and last classic car experience), and my current 2011 Alfa 159 2.2 JTS.

The issue with Alfa has never been beauty or the driving experience. They're amazing to look at and fantastic to drive. Reliability is a known issue - especially the electricals - but I can live with that somewhat.

It's the parts availability issues that put me off recommending Alfa cars. I bought my 2011 159 during Covid to be my cheap daily but I find myself still driving the M3 more simply because I am afraid to put miles on the Alfa due to poor parts availability. The QV is probably ok now since it's relatively new, but this will become more prevalent as the car ages. Otoh, BMW parts are readily available anywhere anytime.

I keep thinking about selling the Alfa but how do you sell something that looks like this... 😅

love 159 design and much sharper performance design and kinda exotic looking compared to current soft lines on the quad. 159 will look good for many years due to clean design lines and no awkward bulging shapes
