I bought some home made tamales from a coworker this week, I'm going to heat those up tonight on a skillet with some rice and beans. My tamale sauce of choice is cholula hot sauce.

My wife is a Latina from the South Texas border but she goes sauceless for some reason.

LJ. Thanks. If not thinking about my cast iron "pizza stone", I would have cooked the pierogs in the house on two skillets, instead of on the grill...I cooked 20 ish...

I use parchment when baking bread at 500F-525F. It gets singed on the edges but no major drama!

I looked it up. A bit pricey and although it gets generally good reviews, I did read the bad ones, especially those with pictures and videos. So, it's a hard pass. I purchased a Paderno® stone instead on special. ($40 and free shipping.) Should arrive by next Wednesday.

Yikes. Must be north of the border prices. I'd pass as well. $59.99 down here...

We just ate dinner ate Fratellis. I had Maryland crab soup, mushrooms stuffed with crab and a 10 oz filet with crab and lobster on top. The wife had crab cakes. You really can’t beat this place for the amount of food and price. It’s worth the 1 hour drive.

Still a bit full from the late lunch, but I managed to run my prawn tally for the day to 16. Had Shrimp a la Diabla as an app, Mrs H and I split a shrimp carbonara. Good stuff!

I'm surprised that the recipe didn't call for breading the eggplant, because that's the way it is served everywhere in these parts.

Have you tried eggplant rollatini yet?????
