Max has high top speed due to the tiny rear wing, DRS is useless against him ... if he is has a good start he's going to win. According to my weather forecast it will rain in the morning but no rain during the GP.

Interesting watching the ghost car footage between Max and Oscar. Max did get lucky this week with two tows, but despite those that Red Bull is super fast on the straights. Oscar would catch him then he’d just pull away. It’s going to be an interesting race.

he's got a small rear wing and a new Honda PU, it's not possible to catch him this race. people will be racing for the podium. he can just use his car to slow down people in the bends, and then he doesn't need DRS for the straights.

Excellent graphic. George did really well. There is an outside chance Oscar gets Max off the line and overtakes him. But Max has so much straight line pace so it probably won’t last. It’s going to be a good one. Silverstone is such a great track even in this British heatwave.

Contrary to some popular belief the circuit was not used by the USAF during WW2 for their B-17's but as a training base to train RAF aircrews to operate Wellington bombers from 1943 onwards as the war progressed.
Silverstone is where the very first F1 Grand Prix took place and has done so up to now albeit at different locations like Aintree and Brands Hatch.
The circuit is celebrating 75 years of F1 in Britain and from what I can see there's a mammoth crowd there because of this.
Nino Farina won that first race with pole and FL also in his Alfa 158.

RBR seems to have set the car up right for MAX on this circuit.

That $100 million: does that relate to what Red Bull pumps into sponsoring initiatives that Verstappen can no longer count on if he leaves RBR ? If affirmative, that will be part of the equation too. Also, if he stays, $65 million pay for the next 3 seasons guaranteed.

Freedom comes at a price. Divorce: apart from the partner, you could also lose (fringe) benefits you liked.

If Mercedes offers him a competitive package: RBR could propose to update his contract with more benefits to avoid losing him.
