Absolutely monstrous lap for Max to take pole! He simply is not human.

I don't think the pressure has gotten to him yet, but let's see how that plays out over the course of a very long season. The only chance Mclaren has to beat Max in the WDC is if their car is significantly faster across the entire season, and even now where we know their car is faster, the gap doesnt seem as big as it would be if Max was driving their car. If RB can continue adding performance and working their setup it plays well for Max along with their adoption of the Mclaren wheels and the clamp down on flexi wings.

Agreed. I would bet if you put all the F1 drivers in equal cars, F1, Indy, GT3 cars, prototype, off road, etc. - Max would be 1st in all of them. No one else has the natural and innate ability to be fast like him.

Ever changed brake pad compounds on a street car? Makes braking a completely different experience. We will see if he can adapt
