After the crap he's been given for being slow, I think Lawson has earned himself a break. That Q3 was the lap he has always been capable of given the right car, a track he knows and the confidence to push.
As for Max, he suffered the same thing Hadjar did, a racing incident destroyed his chance, but they would be the first to shrug and say that's motorsport.

Toto says signatures are inked in the summer break. So somebody is going to get a contract soon.

I mean the yellow flag prob cost Max half a second. Otherwise he'd be P2/3 most likely, but hey, that's just how it goes. I think he will have the race pace tomorrow and he did spend time testing the hard tire.

Coincidentally I was talking about this with my friend yesterday...and it begs the question again... if Yuki is replaced with Isack and Isack does not perform, what next?

Either you keep the car the same to entertain Maxs' chances or another teammate bites the dust..Either or and not both..

Yes . The RB21 Frankenstein car has destroyed YUKI's F1 career completely (!)
If Hadjar takes YUKI's seat , then you can expect the same mess..

And we certainly shouldn't expect any RB21 improvements (!)

During the free practice they had to re-work the new upgraded RB21 floor with a grinding wheel machine .

MAX's radio during the qualifying : The car is completely undriveable in slow , mid and fast corners (!)
With such a bad car balance , MAX's tires will be gone in 7-8 laps (!)
The RB21 Spielberg upgrades had to be a breakthrough , a game changer in the WDC and WCC..
