Hey all I'm always sharing deals I find online so figured I'd share this, I found this app a little while ago and have been using it quite a bit. You can see nearby gas stations, and more recently other vendors as well, and there's discounts given for each participating business. Simple as spending money and taking a pic of the receipt.

Previously I was just using Shell Rewards but the Shell stations near me are expensive as can be so I was happy to give this a shot. I haven't seen less than 15c off the gallon with the app and it's super easy to use.

If you use the link below you'll get an extra 15c off your first use of the app, and it can be combined with other rewards programs as well. Their goal is just to drive traffic to participating vendors.

Let me know what you all think, far as I can tell this is nation-wide already! I've been paying "regular" prices for premium fuel

Love GetUpside.

History shows a total of $140.59 as cashback since I started using it in February.

And if you're skeptical, I can vouch for it. It's legit and my first check was $92. Got a physical check in 1-day and deposit went through the following business day.

Feel free to PM me for sign-up code/bonus.
Leo.

I used to do the Shell points thing too.

Also was one of the early users of GetUpside, over a year before they started blaring their commercials on the radio

It's a cool app, but like Shell, most of the gas stations it offers discounts at are higher priced anyway. So it pretty much washes out. I guess you could go all in and use it at the gas stations, restaurants, and wherever else they offer rewards.

Over the past couple of years, I've gotten maybe $30 back from using the GetUpside app. But I also rarely drive and fill up gas, maybe like once every 2 weeks. I don't really care to go out of my way to use it anymore. These gas apps really don't save you shit

Just use a credit card that offers a high cashback for gas stations.

Things like the Costco visa card offers 4% cash back. I have a PenFed Visa that has 5% cash back on all gas purchases.

You can use this in combination with credit cards, I have the costco visa and get 4% back on top of my upside discount! I get at least a few bucks back every refill and then the cash % on top

Hey man, what's your code?

I didn't have one when I joined, and I think if I add yours as my referral, you'll get some pennies on my purchases (and my referrals, too). Should help you out a bit.

I opted out. Was skeptical giving my driver license number. Also there's no CC option only checking account :thumbdown.

I'm always skeptical of these apps. They may save money but the data they collect is theirs to own. I'd rather not have them tracking me and privacy is more important than saving a few dollars.

True this. I use airline CC's with bonus categories of 3x to rack up the miles.

Upside just gets your email, I use a "spam" email account for it

I've had the companion pass for the past two years and it's great. I fly for work A LOT and rack up extra miles through my CC's. Just SW alone last year I did 42k in domestic travel. Not to mention all my flights on American and Alaska too. Keep at it and once you get that companion pass, you're going to find yourself trying to fly anywhere on your free time just because. And if you reach A-List status through flight miles, it's great because you board 1-15 and never have to worry about checking in 24 hours prior.

Yeah that's a really sweet setup. I'm not sure we'll ever fly domestically enough to get the A list status but the companion pass is amazing!
