The photograph Valencia M. McClatchey took from her front porch on Sept. 11, 2001 after United Flight 93 crashed in a farmers field in Shanksville Pennsylvania.
This is the first photo shot and only known photograph of the grey cloud above the crash site. The F.B.I. investigated and verified the authenticity of the McClatchey photo.

I just wanted to post this because it is such a haunting memory of 911. I’ve thought that this date is truly meaningful - the world has changed for all of us.

I think it is important to never forget and that there are still thousands of firefighters and rescue workers that are sick and dieing from the toxic air they were told was safe to breathe - and the burden they have to bear.

Unfortunately I think many of us havent learned a damn thing from that terrible day. If anything the west is more hated now then ever.
