In production 8/26-07/33
X5 model range: X5 40, 40 xDrive, 40d xDrive, 50e xDrive, M60 xDrive, M60e xDrive
iX5 models: 50 xDrive, 60 xDrive, M70 xDrive
G65 X5 will push hard into high luxury.
Expect many top level features currently only found on 7/X7 - from automatic doors to interior details, plus all the UI advancements we've been hearing about recently: Panoramic Vision, Augmented View, AR glasses integration, passenger side screen and "Ceremonial Light Carpet."
There's a good chance the BEV iX5 will only be introduced in 2027.

I think that leather interiors are slowly going away -- replaced by man-made materials such as Veganza on the 7 series.

I’m sceptical given the new X3 was supposed to be more luxury focused and came out quite the opposite. Cool if true but though as the current X5 is a really premium item.

Agree. It’s disappointing that in my M60i LCI I couldn’t have full leather and have the lower dash match when the X5M gets that option, as well as, the fact that I had it on my M3 which cost less than the M60i.

Man, things continue to get more expensive. I wouldn’t have an issue with this if the pricing would remain the same/relatively flat OR the X3 replaces the X5’s position in the lineup and gets more refinement to X5 levels/standards but this likely doesn’t happen.

X5 gets more expensive, X3 also gets more expensive but remains “budget” relative to the X5 and design move upmarket.

Ahh, I doubt if it will only be "ICE based",...as it will essentially receive the same drivetrain as the G90 M5! ...a Hybrid setup!

It’s good in the X7. But much better in the iX. The differences are notable between the two including individualized bass and surround effects in the seats in the iX(front and rear surround, front bass). I have both vehicles currently. There is clarity in the X7, but there is more power and depth/immersiveness in the iX. The X7 lacks low end/bass.

Man, that would suck so hard! I cannot fathom how heavy that thing will be if that's the case

Maybe I'll just pick up a last year model G05 X5M in the summer of 2026 and call it a day

Must say 12 months on and 15000km the vegan leather still looks like new and not at all baggy and saggy like the leather always goes. Got to say I like it eventually, but honestly didn't want it, price went up and leather disappears.... really, but glad now.
Market dependent as was a cost option on my build for all the leather options. Why do I get leather dash and doors though still..?
