It literally went from feeling like I was playing a game to feeling like I was driving an actual car

bucketfoot wroteHeck yeah! If I wasn't using my stim check for my honeymoon, it would definitely be going towards a new setup.Got my Fanatec today and after doing a very fast setup using just the defaults it is literally a night & day difference between it and my old Logitech Driving Force GT.

Murf993 wroteYep, but when NASA, SCCA, BMW CCA, etc have all shut down their events, virtual reality beats the hell out of nothingrather than "virtual reality" I like actual "reality"....

bucketfoot wroteExcept, I can walk out to the driveway and get in it and take it for a spin....anytime I like. I actually understand the notion of driving games and first person shooters etc.....I've tried them and have found that I'd rather do the real thing....I like to drive my car, go to the range and have sex with an actual woman....call me old fashioned.Yep, but when NASA, SCCA, BMW CCA, etc have all shut down their events, virtual reality beats the hell out of nothing

Murf993 wroteI prefer both... but one has a higher cost of entry as a hobby. Nothing beats the real thing but one track day is about the cost of sim racing for a year. Plus taking a Spin on the street and track are very differentExcept, I can walk out to the driveway and get in it and take it for a spin....anytime I like. Murf993 wroteI get ya, back taking it out for a spin and taking it to the track are completely different beasts. But then so it taking the real thing out to the track versus pretend driving on the track.Except, I can walk out to the driveway and get in it and take it for a spin....anytime I like.

I had the DFGT and yes it was loud and inexpensive; also lacked true road feel.
