Yes it should be doing that now, for example it will become unbolded. Is that not happening for you now? It will only happen if you’ve read all the posts in the thread…
Thanks for the reply. Just tried a few threads and went through all the posts, then reloaded the page and the thread would not unbold itself.

Is it possible you did it while you aren't logged in? or from the old site? Also since the threads move around with replies, im taking a guess at which two those are. if you aren't logged in when you do it then nothing would be recorded BTW

Yes...currently logged in the the new website and just checked these two threads in the X3 G01/G02 forum:

1. Driver Assistance Wiring Issue

2. 5DF Retrofit Thread

The 2 threads above will not unbold, not the end of the world, just need to pay more attention. Thanks for the help!

Note: The new website looks great with the dark background and light purple text.

apptest's user avatarapptest It seems the threads do unbold, however it is a very slight unbold and hard to notice. Without very close examination you would never see it. Thanks again.

I’m seeing at record that you have read the posts in the driver assistance wiring issue thread. I’m wondering is it that you open the thread and then press the back button and still bolder, but if you refresh the whole page does it then go to unbold?

Ah ok maybe a design issue with your setup vs. mine. Do you mind if I ask about details, such as what operating system, what browser, what screen size? If not no worries

I open the thread, go to the end, then return to the main page and reload it and the threads will not unbold, or just very slightly that you would never notice.

I'm using a M1 MacBook Pro 14 inch screen with MacOS Tahoe 26.4.

Using Brave Browser:

Brave is up to date
Brave 1.88.138 (Official Build) (arm64)
Chromium: 146.0.7680.178

Plus, I checked it using FireFox 149 (up to date) and it does not seem to unbold with this browser.

Actually, real quick I made a slight change, does it look any better now? When you refresh the page hold down SHIFT and then press the load icon into the url bar (the circle with arrow icon)

I checked several threads in the G01/G02 forum doing what you asked and there is no change in the unbold, it stays the same.

So the reason I was thinking sorting the thread title is not a good idea, is because search might accomplish that. I do get what you are saying is that you want to sort the titles so then you can find the ‘engine’ ones lets say? But that might not work in terms of relevance. I think search wins on that point.

Now for search, its already implemented. What do you do is go to the forum in question. Go to the very top navigation bar, next to your username is a search bar. Open that up and off the bat the word ‘subforum’ should be highlighted. If so, what its doing is searching for your terms only in that forum. You can do this also with the full/advanced search but then you have to manually chose which forms to search inside of
All right, I'll give a try and see how it works.

BTW I just noticed that at the very beginning the site asks for Username OR e-mail (to log on). I decided to try to logon using my email and current P/W, and it failed. So, evidently the logon can't be accomplished by either of the two. I had to use my current Username.

Thanks for your attention.

Thanks for the hard work. Any chance we can get the post #s to show in the individual posts? It was helpful to see if we were nearing the end of a page, and also the post # was a URL so that you could link back to that individual post in the thread.
