Navajo fry bread dough made its way from New Mexico from my SIL. Wife is making up some seasoned ground, then cheese and probably something green

Found a cold White Claw in the fridge to prep my gullet

I fired up the pizza oven, it had been too long, didn't bother with pictures, you've seen my pizza pics before.

As I usually do, I experimented with another dough. I went a little farther down the sour dough rabbit hole, and made some improvements to my previous cook.

All I really did differently this time is abandon the 'no kneed' method and used the stand mixer, and reduced the water a bit to make the dough a little easier to handle.

I got the results I wanted, and I'll tweak my methods one more time and I'll have this dough dialed in. For anyone interested, I think a little bit less water, and a little more time 'bench resting'

SIL lives out near Shiprock.

Chiles were mixed into the meat, along with a mishmash of tomatoes from my garden. Tomatoes were unusually sweet when it all got done.

The plan for tonight is to can some of the ridiculouos amount of nopales we have right now. We watched a few videos (in spanish) and have our mason jars all ready to go. If I'm not back by Monday, MKSixer is in charge of Stuff distribution, and Joekerr can have SOMETHING out of it all. Maybe a jar of nopales???

My wife's birthday was yesterday and mine is on Tuesday so we are kinda doing a bday date night to our favorite pizza place tonight. Its in a better building now but it used to be in a double wide in the middle of no where. It was nasty, and they didnt even give you plates, you would just eat off paper towels but the pizza is soooo good.

^ Balut... could never bring myself to try that and I am pretty open minded with food.

Tonight was 2" thick ribeyes medium rare, sautéed mushrooms and onions, carrots and mashed sweet potatoes.

My DW was at the local beef farm store yesterday, and the owner suggested that she try their specially-sliced beef to make German Rouladen. Neither of us had heard of it, but Google is our cookbook and it came out of the crock pot surprisingly edible for a first attempt. I've got some ideas for the next try, assuming that the farm does another batch of the beef again.....

I think I'll take Lenny. I have this feeling that MKSixer still really fancies him as the GOAT and would be willing to trade all your stuff for Lenny.

That way I get almost everything instead of just something. Loophole. I'm good at finding them.

I’m with you on the balut

I did a similar dinner, ribeye, I like to get a quick seat/char on them and finish them on the ‘upper deck’ while the juices drip down on the veggies
