F1 2022: British GP - Silverstone (July 3)

Time moves fast in f1 and moving on closer to the practice and Q it can't be ignored that Fia's ban on worn jewellery comes into force for the BGP which will affect one individual who had been given a 'stay of execution' for wearing them until this race.
It will be interesting how this will turn out.

If he gets something , he will get a FIA fine . That's a peace of cake for HAM...
He won't be banned at Silverstone ...

Like he should have been for that move on Max at Copse, should have been disqualified and all BGP points deducted after saying that he would do the same again.

Let it rain then those stay cables won't be doing much with the reduced speed.

Sadly no rain expected for race day having just looked up the prog. though there in that neck of the woods in Northants it can be changeable.

Exactly, no one beats Max in the wet and that Merc won't be up with Ferrari which should be countered by Checo with his new or repaired gearbox.

The chief purpose of the RB Silverstone aero upgrades is to reduce 'stall' on the long DRS straights and not to increase downforce to counter the Ferrari and Merc threat.
The 18 will have newer side pods with double vertical winglets at the bottom end to help with this process and the top speed traps around the fast curves will be interesting to see.

Damp squib of a practice with half the field not bothering to set a time and in the end Bottas set a leading time when Stroll went off.
The next session being in two hours time at 16.00.

Sainz MGU-H, MGU-K and TURBO have been replaced at Silverstone .
This means that Sainz has already gotten :

I think Chinese PU are probably more reliable than Ferrari at this point.

Read from HAM that his jalopy is still bouncing mostly from the downforce on the body and it's 'quite a bit' in the fast corners, he may be quick in the dry in quali but as you said the rain will probably return for quali and the strain will show in the second half of the race from the bouncing.
