You might really enjoy Joris Voorn. Give his 3 part Fabric London set a listen. He is 45 and incorporates a lot of those 90's sounds but in a techno/house/trance mix that I personally love.

Was in school in Miami in 96, and went to more shows than I can count, er, or remember

I don't remember who else was playing, and I've never been able to find any info on it online, but there was one massive party in...Orlando?...that BT headlined (Usuaya maybe?) That was absolutely epic. Iirc -and I definitely might not - Jan Johnston was there live.

Saw orbital and crystal method in that era playing in tiny clubs - so good.

There was a gabber show at wmc that Lenny dee played... my head hurt for days after that one, ha
